The boat is already clearly designed in the potential owner’s mind, it only needs someone able to give it body through
the
exciting experience of designing a boat from drawings to the launch. The designer is the mean to realize a dream.
Clearly the relationship between designer and shipyard is completely different: in this case primary objective is profit.
Therefore the designer is not only the person who projects the boat, but he also acts as technical consultant. His job is
to link his experience in different fields of design, his knowledge of problems and rules with the shipyard know-how.
During the last 30 years Sergio Abrami & C. Yacht Designers designed integrally or as consultant: regatta or cruise S/Y, motor
yachts, fast power boats, RIBs, MOB, SOLAS fast rescue boats, all purpose work boats and anti-pollution boats.
Moreover, Sergio Abrami & C. Yacht Designers realized the executive plans of large PRFV superstructures for the Italian Navy,
plans and calculations of PRVF structures of large vessels like funnels and decks, semi-submersible boats for underwater
vision (from 4 to 36 meters, in PRVF steel an light alloy), composite structures for the industry like the large shelters
designed for AGIP.
During the years we consolidated a strong competence about the RIBs, both SOLAS and not, and about the self-straightening
FRB. In fact, we have collaborated with Navy, Police and various institutions all over the world.
P&O utilizes for her well known cruisers the Fast Rescue Boats we designed.
Sergio Abrami & C. Yacht Designers realized the scantling in GPR for many both motor and sail M/Y designed by famous Yacht
Designers in Italy and abroad.
We also carry out stability tests, mechanical tests and quality plan.
