A big-flavoured style of Shiraz with surprising elegance. One of the few wines to be made using a basket press which gently presses the fermenting grapes extracting only the favoured soft tannins and rich flavours. It has a raspberry and blackberry fruitiness to which the year spent ageing in small, American oak barrels adds mint and chocolate. Delicious with barbecue roasted beef, lamb or gourmet sausages.

These knives were first produced in 1829, in the small town of Laguiole in central France. They are known for their gently curving, razor sharp 12cm blades, elongated grips and the trademark bumble bee, a symbol of the region, that guarantees their authenticity.

Tradition says that if you receive one of these knives as a present, you must reciprocate with a one franc (or should that be one euro?) coin, otherwise the knife may be used for cutting something other than steak!
