Metasynth is a program created by Eric Wegner that let you create and edit sounds by painting,

it's a powerful and creative tool but it's also a gas to play....

like Jim Aikin say "So much fun is addictive!!!".
 
 

Here you can find some examples of my sonic work with Metasynth.

All the examples are taken from Sintesi del Suono

Thread 1 - A trip beyond Framura:

This is a sound made by my friend jojo with his DX7.
It's the starting point for my metasynth elaborations.
The image on the left is the sonogram made with the "Analize current ..." option in Metasynth.

This is the first elaboration: 
I have re-synthesized the sound using a sine wave, transposed it it down by 12 semitones, applied some effects and then filtered it.

I have created a rythmic loop using the shuffler effect and then applied some echo and filtering....

 
 

Thread 2 - A Bat in a Cave:

This is a sound made by my friend andy with a Korg X3R.
It's the starting point for my metasynth elaborations.

I have granulated the sound, applied an Harmonic effect and then Faded In and Faded Out...all in MetaSynth
