Even though "L'Asilo" hostel is in the centre of the town, it remains at a good distance from the other buildings. The start of the "Italia" trail is just 500m away, leading to some very interesting spots both for nature and for the breathtaking views such as the Alento springs, the Polegro tower and the fascinating "San Liberatore a Maiella" Abbey. With the mountains so close on hand, as is the National Park, the area boasts a variety of alternative itineraries.
