Il mio nome è Massimiliano Vasi, sono nato a Bologna il 18/02/'79
e il mio segno zodiacale è l'Acquario. A 11 anni nacque in me una
passione sfrenata per la chitarra: ricordo che mio padre possedeva una
semiacustica jazz della Eko che tuttora tiene.
Stavo ore a sentirlo suonare preso da chissà quale forza....
poi ho imparato i primi accordi, e poi...
Verso i 14 anni, dopo aver lasciato da qualche parte la timidezza,
ho messo in piedi la mia prima rock-band, di cui sono stato cantante
e chitarrista ("cercavamo di suonare" i Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses,
Vasco e Ligabue ). I primi concerti sono stati grezzi, ma "vivi di
quella voglia di farli" e tra il fumo e la birra, la gente si divertiva....
La paga chiaramente era misera, comunque smontavamo la strumentazione e
facevamo regolarmente le 5:00 di mattina.... ma per suonare, questo e
altro !!!
Ho passato un lungo periodo a riempire i miei cassetti di sogni
tralasciando il "solito giro", non l'avevo fatto apposta !!?
... ero uscito così, senza fare rumore ...
... ma io ero là col mio silenzio, senza tante parole... ero proprio là !!!
I 5 anni delle superiori sono stati i più intensi e i più vissuti :
... "le fughe da scuola" (Dio solo sa quante volte ho girato in centro
a Bologna alle 8 di mattina con qualche altro scemo !)
... " i negozi di dischi e di strumenti musicali" ... "le litigate con
la compagnia" ... "le uscite del sabato sera e del venerdì e del ... va bé !!!" ...
"qualche amore finito (o mai cominciato) nel classico modo che fa annoiare" ...
"le uscite da solo" ...
Dopo molti sorrisi e qualche lacrima persa sotto il delicato sguardo
della luna, ho conseguito il diploma della "Maturità Artistica" (luglio '98).
Attualmente lavoro in una radio underground, adoro scrivere canzoni,
testi, musiche, e quando ho tempo leggo !!! Frequento i locali in
generale ma preferisco qualli con musica dal vivo e ogni tanto vado a
ballare in discoteca (ho detto ogni tanto !!).
Adesso ho finito di registrare il mio primo disco, un CD-singolo dal
titolo "GIROTONDO", che qui di seguito vi presento. Spero che vi piaccia !!!

MAX VASI
My name is Massimiliano Vasi, I was born in Bologna on 18/02/'79
and my Zodiac sign is Acquarius. When I was 11 years old a deep
passion for guitar grew up in me: I remember that my father used
to have a semi-acoustic jazz by Eco, which he still keeps.
I could spend hours listening to him, like possessed by some force...
then I learnt my early chords, and then...
When I was around 14, leaving aside my shyness, I put together my
early rock-band, of which I was singer and lead guitar: we "tried
to play" Queen, Bon Jovi, Guns 'n Roses, Vasco, Ligabue.
Our early concerts were certainly rough, but "alive for the sake
of doing them", between smoke and beer, and people used to have
great fun...
Of course it was little money, anyhow we would mount and dismount
our equipment, ending around 5 in the morning... but we'd do anything
for playing.
I spent a long time in filling up my drawers with dreams, avoiding
the "usual tour", i didn't do it on purpose !!?
I had walked out like this, without any noise...
...but I was there with my silence, without many words..
I was right there !!!
The 5 years of the high school were the most intense:
..."running out of school (God only knows how many times I was around
downtown Bologna at 8 o'clock in the morning with some other stupid !)
..."the records and music instruments shops"..."quarrelling with
friends"..."going out on friday night and saturday night... and so on"...
"some love-story ended (or never started) in the usual boring way"...
"going out all alone"...
After many smiles and some tears lost under the moon's delicate looks,
I got my "Art School" diploma, in July '98.
I'm currently working in an "underground" radio, I love writing songs,
music, lyrics, and reading, when I have time!!! I go to clubs and
bars, specially the "live music" ones, sometimes I go to the
discotheques (I say sometimes !)
Now I've just finished recording my first record, a CD-single titled
"Girotondo" ("Ring-a-ring-o'-roses", how funny the English word for it!),
of which you can see the sleeve under here. Hope you buy it
