The
Group of Search MNEMOS, with center to Reggio Calabria, is intended to furnish
emigrans to all the Calabrians in the world , news about the proper country of
origin (history, folk,traditions) and the reconstructions of the genealogical
trees of the families of the provence of Reggio Calabria . To reach such objective the Center is sed some collaboration of qualified
historical and anthropologists that from years that from years they operate in
Calabria and in degree to enter quickly to files and libraries of the region . The Group of Search MNEMOS is also constituted from a techinical staff able to realize, on application, photografic services and video on any event of Calabria (successions, Saint’s day, festivals, meetings, interviews to relativies parents or friends) .
All this to make that the Calabrian emigrants can fel ideally nearest to their
community of origin and so that the children,native to the strange lands, can
be to preserve the historical memory and the most authentic traditions in
Calabria . And to do this, but above all to not owe a tomorrow to say what we have left of us, an association is born for the memory . And maintaining it, preserves and we catalog everything what it concerns the
territory with video and photo that a tomorrow could represent the only
existing testimonies of the past, of a territory like ours, already rich of
memory.
