Stanley an us project” is a work born in 1997, when three guys from Italy shot the first interviews about the american director, in occasion of the Venice Film Festival, where he was given the Golden Lion for the Career.

Stanley and us project” is now made of an 1 hour documentary (“Stanley and us”) and 38 episodes of 15 minutes each.

The project is still in progress.

In about 3 years of researches and shootings through London, Great Britain, Rome, Venice, Paris and Florence, 50 people were interviewed among collaborators, actors, film critics, writers, technicians, relatives and friends, often for the first time in front of a camera.

The 38 episodes (already broadcasted in Italy on RAISAT CINEMA) are divided by topic and cover the professional, artistic and personal world of Kubrick.

The 1 hour documentary (“Stanley and us”) is  a sort of 'docu-fiction' talking about the story of the 3 fans from Italy who decide to finally meet their myth and obsession: "If you would ask them why they would answer: a documentary for TV. But don't believe them, that is only the excuse".  From nothing, the three guys manage to cross the walls of the Kubrick 'fortress', forming a portrait of a director challenging the other projects in terms of depth and passion.
