This summer, the Torre del Lago Puccini Jazz Festival dedicated to the 
italo-american saxophonist DEAN BENEDETTI (1922-1957) get to his
fourth edition. In fact, Dean Benedetti's origins were here, in this 
little town of Tuscany. The significance of his historical contribution 
to the achievement of the bebop jazz music, has recently been studied 
and revalued by the Jazz Insitute of Chicago.


With the support of the "Assessorato alla Cultura del Comune di 
Viareggio" (Viareggio Municipality Culture Councillor)
and the "1° Circoscrizione di Torre del Lago Puccini" (1° District 
of Torre del Lago Puccini).

Artistic direction by trumpeter Andrea Tofanelli and mr. Paolo Caivano.

With the collaboration of the "Jazz Chalet" club and the "Jazz&Blues" 
Association. 

The concerts will take place into the "Jazz Chalet" restaurant club 
(June 21/22, 2003) and on the Belvedere lake square (June 27/28/29, 2003), 
just in front of the Puccini's house.
