DOVE SIAMO / WHERE'S VANOI   CLICK ON THE MAP / CLICCA SULLA MAPPA LA NOSTRA VALLE CANAL SAN BOVO: ( Km dal capoluogo : 87 , Altitudine : 7 5 7 m s l m ) E' il capoluogo del Comune omonimo, composto dalle frazioni di : Prade, Caoria, Ronco, Zortea, Cicona e Gobbera. E' un accogliente e caratteristico villaggio con le strade pavimentate di porfido, le case bianche, orientato al sole sulla verde costa terrazzata del monte, alla confluenza del Vanoi, un centinaio di metri sopra il letto del torrente che l'ha nettamente inciso. Si può scendere verso l'enorme letto ghiaioso del Vanoi percorrendo la vecchia strada (visione sul noto monte Cauriòl), sul terrazzamento verde, ombreggiato da secolari peri, e raggiungere Canale di Sotto che conserva le vecchie case della tradizione canalina: tetto di scàndole, ballatoi, sovrastrutture lignee, oggetti a tre o cinque lati, per il focolare (arin). Tra le frazioni, Caoria presenta un paesaggio fra i più alpestri del Trentino. Dopo le Calchère, all'inizio del paese dominato dalla piramide bruciata e desolata del Cauriòl, c'è il cimitero militare italiano costruito nel 1916 per accogliere i caduti delle battaglie che si svolgevano sui monti circostanti. A Prade sono visitabili i caratteristici fienili di un tempo, masi dove i contadini conducevano la vita di tutti i giorni,ma soprattutto il centro del paese (altezza 899 metri)si presta a delle favolose passeggiate in una natura intatta. It is a characteristic and friendly village with paved streets of porphyry and white houses reflecting the sun on the green mountain terraced slope, approximately a hundred metres above the confluence of the Vanoi and a mountain stream bed. It is possible to go down to the Vanoi's enormous stony bed follo-wing the old road (with a view of the Cauriol pyramid) on the green terrace, shaded by age-old pear trees, and to reach Canale di Sotto which maintains the old houses according to tradition: shingled roof, balconies, wooden superstructures. Among the hamlets, Caoria presents one of the more mountainous landscape in Trentino. After the Calchere (lime kilns), at the start of the town, dominated by the burnt and desolate pyramid of Cauriol, you can find the Italian military graveyard, built in 1916, for those killed in the surrounding mountains during the war. UNSERE TAL CANAL SAN BOVO: (Km vom Hauptort der Provinz: 87 Höhenlage:-757 m slm) Ist der Hauptort der gleichnamigen Gemeinde, die aus mehreren Ort-steilen besteht: Caoria, Ronco, Prade, Zortea, Cicona und Gobbera. Dieses freundliche charakteristische Städtchen mit den porphyrgepflasterten Straßen und den weißen, sonnenexponierten Häusern liegt an grünen terrassenförmigen Berghängen an der Vanoi-Mündung, ungefähr hundert Meter oberhalb -des Bettes des Baches, der dieses Tal glatt eingeschnitten hat. Auf der alten Straße (mit Blick auf den pyramidenförmigen Cauriòl) kann man zum enormen Geröllbett des Vanoi auf einer grünen Terrasse, im Schatten von jahrhunderte-alten Birnbäumen, nach Canale di Sotto hinabfahren. Diese Ortschaft bewahrt ihre alten traditionellen Häuser: Schindeldächer, Balkone, hölzerne Aufbauten, vier- oder fünfseitige Objekte für die Feuerstelle (Arin). Der Ortsteil Caoria liegt in einer der alpinsten Landschaften des Trentino. Nach den Calchere, am Eingang des vom trostlosen, verbrannten pyramidenförmigen Cauriòl beher-rschten Dorfes, befindet sich ein italienischer Militärfriedhof, der im Jahre 1916 für die in den auf den umliegenden Bergen ausgetragenen Schlachten Gefallenen errichtet wurde.
